Prom 2013

Well, it's prom season again! On Thursday night, I got an out-of-nowhere call from my cousin Becca. I had no idea why she was calling me, but it turns out she wanted me to take her prom pictures! I also did a few pictures last year for her. I was a little disappointed that I had to cancel a lot of other activities that day, but it was worth it. She's worth it. Enjoy!

Dana Joy | Baby Portraits

One day in December, I got this call from one of my teachers. It was to babysit her baby girl named Dana. I was SO excited! I recently crocheted these hats and I was just dying to try them on someone! I decided I'd bring some supplies for a photoshoot, and have one on our own. I tried getting her into this absolutely adorable Christmas dress, but that wasn't working, so I just kept what she had on, and tried to get a few shots with their gorgeous Christmas tree in the background. These pictures are by no means professional, but like Dana's mom said, they capture her emotions and faces very well. :)

H. Kids | Sibling Photography

The H. Family has been on the blog before. They are a family in the neighborhood that I often babysit for. This wasn't a scheduled shoot, but I took these right after I got my 50mm. (I had to "test" it out) No picture is a perfect pictures, so I can improve on a lot of things. I really enjoyed shooting this family, even though I didn't always get a perfect smile. We met another little boy that we saw in the park's tennis courts. It was so cute watching the kids run around and being kids. I didn't post any of those pictures, but maybe I will another time.

It's Time

I never wanted to have to end up doing this, but it's time for a break; a blog break. "My" computer is broken and I have probably lost all my photos {again}. I feel like I could cry about it, but I know I enjoyed those memories and will cherish them. I always find it silly when people take blog breaks, because it just sometimes seems unnecessary, but I just need a little break now. This break will hopefully not be long. I'll still try to read all of the blogs I follow and comment when I feel necessary. For now I will search for inspiration, I will reach out for it, and then grasp it with both hands. I'll try my best to use my phone and ipod pictures to come up with posts when I have the chance. I will definitely NOT stop taking pictures. I am still trying to accomplish my photo a day: 365. Go ahead and take a peak at my photography blog. Yes, I am very behind in that too, but there are numerous pictures there. I hope to talk to you all soon on this little bloggy of mine.

May Flowers {even though it's June}

I was working on this a few days ago, when it was still May. I never got around to posting it though! It's so hard to believe that it's June already! Flowers are popping up right and left! I have two more full days of school left and then I'm done!! Yah! I'm a little sad to leave my little, private school, but I'm excited for the new public school adventures.

8-Month Old | Baby S

I've never done a 8/9-month old before, so this was really a fun session. It was my first paid session. I really enjoy the results. The whole process was hard because I also had to look after 3 other kids (ages 2, 5, and 7), but again, LOVE some of the photos I got. Isn't she adorable?!? It always looks like she's frowning, but it's just her chubby cheeks that make her mouth droop. :P
