Cousin Becca and I

  On Tuesday night, my uncle came and picked up my brother and I, and took us back to his house for the week. Why? Because we're on Spring Break and my parents went to Florida. My uncle's house isn't that far away, but I don't get to see my cousin that often. Of course, just like last time, we {well, mostly I} wanted to have a photoshoot. Although I regret taking pictures in the bright sun, I am finding that a lot of pictures still turned out.

 Let me just say this: I absolutely love the photo above. I'm very proud of it and it is definitely one of my favorite pictures that I've taken in March. I just love it all!!

 We, of course, got some awkward pictures... but they are always fun to look at. She's cute, am I right?

 Sadly, she had to go to school, so my brother and I were at home the whole day while she was at school.

Becca is 2.5 years older than I am.

 We went to a little park a few blocks from their house to take pictures. I enjoyed being in a different setting. There's always more to take pictures of when you're in a new place!

That's us! I look a little crazy, but oh well. :D I set up my horrible tripod for this... it obviously didn't fall over like it usually does! Yeah! Oh and I'm the one of the right. Becca's the one of the left. A lot of people tell us we look like sisters...but then there are the people that say we look nothing alike. We looked almost identical when we were younger, though!

Those Awkward Pictures....

Today I thought I would share some of those awkward pictures of me that people don't usually show on their blog. You might've seen the pictures I posted recently HERE, but these, well, they're all over the place! Let me just say, I am awkward... and crazy... and I know how to have fun on my own. :D Enjoy!

Buds and Blossoms

It has been a very rainy week which has made everything look really green! I've been in a very inspired mood lately to go outside and take pictures! Enjoy a little photo dump. :)

Over half of these pictures were taken when it was cloudy and then the last few were taken when it was sunny... I definitely LOVE the sunny pictures better! :)

When You Get the Focus Right | Self-Portrait

 40 Things in 2012: #3

Last weekend, Sunday to be exact, I dressed up in an outfit that I hadn't worn in months! It was a super nice day out so I set up my tripod to take pictures of myself. Now, when I have a very complex backround {in my case, trees}, it's hard to use auto focus to get nice, clear pictures of myself. At first, I was bummed that my first 5 pictures didn't turn out in auto or manual. But, after a while, I got it. I got the exact spot I needed for a perfect picture. I set the timer and snapped away like a mad women. I was determined to get some good photos so I also played music so get a genuine smile out of myself. :-) Here are a few of the pictures that I took.

Beginning of Spring

I go outside in the beginning of spring,

I can't wait to see what this season brings.

It could be good, it could be bad,

I just sit, listen, and be glad.

The wind is blowing, 

The trees are growing.

The birds are flying,

Kids are cycling.

I look up and see the sky

and thank the special Guy,

who made the heavens and the earth,

everything begins its rebirth.

 Birds chirping all day long,

I can't help, but join along.

This wind is sweet,

out goes the sleet!

I go outside in the beginning of spring,

I can't wait to see what this season brings!

Digging Out Old Pictures

The weather right now it the warmest it's been all year, reaching a temperature of 55 degrees and growing! :) I've had a very busy week at school and many other activities. Today, even though I'm enjoying this beautiful weather, I'd like to go back about a week or two and see the snow+ice pictures I took. I find them really fascinating and I hope you do too!

 It rained and then snowed, so everything froze. {I didn't mean to rhyme there. hahaha!}

 We even got a 2-hour delay from school.

 The orangish-red color looks really cool because it makes the whole picture pop!

And this was one morning this week where it snowed for about 15 minutes. I had no idea it was snowing so I was in shock. I thought it was kinda of cool so I quickly took out my camera and snapped this photo before going to my second class.

Hopefully Spring is coming soon because I love warm weather. I'll post some soon to be summer pictures soon! :)
