Sophia Joy|Newborn Session

 Here are a few of the newborn pictures I took. I still am not done editing them, so I'll probably do another post with a few more pictures.
 She was awake the whole time, except for a few at the end when she was tired and fussy.
 I'm sure you've seen the one above, I share it with everyone, everywhere. I honestly think it turned out the best.
 The family had the cutest hats and headbands for me! They added a pop of color and they were so awesome!
 I honestly did not like editing these photos. Why? Because I really want a baby sister now. Like REALLY badly! Haha! :D I know adoption has crossed my parents mind, but it's really expensive.
 I think a lot of the pictures didn't turn out, but I took so many that I think I got a couple of good photos.
She was almost 4 weeks when I took Sophia pictures. It's a little later than intended, but I'm sure the family will like a few of the pictures. This was my first scheduled session and my first newborn session so I was really excited about this!

That's all for now! Any advice? Do you have a favorite?

Bible Verse of the Week #24

"They do not say to the themselves, 'Let us fear the Lord our God who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular harvest.' Your wrong doings have kept this away; your sins have deprived you of good." ~Jeremiah 5:24-25

I like this verse because it talks briefly about autumn. Not very often do I find Bible verses about certain seasons of the year. I believe that this verse is telling us to believe in the Lord because He will be there, no matter where we are, whether at work, school, on the playground, or harvesting grain. I don't live in Texas where there's hardly any rain, but this verse assures us that God will make it work for you. He will send you peace in times of trouble, water in the time of thirst, and food in the time of hunger.

I sometimes put myself down because my photography is just me being an amateur. I can put myself down like that or pray to God and ask Him if I should continue to love photography. Today I pulled out my camera on a field trip and I started looking through my old pictures that I haven't uploaded yet. This guy from my class was sitting next to me (because we were waiting for a show to start) and started looking at all of the photos that I've taken. He said that he really liked them and I should sell them at an art show. Haha, like I'll do that, but it's a really nice compliment considering the photos that I showed him weren't the best of my work.

What I was trying to get to with that is that just because you aren't the best, doesn't mean that you should give up. God provides for you, just like he provides rain in the verses. Be thankful for what you have!

A Life Changing Experience?

A true story about how much God cares for us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One regular (yet busy) Saturday afternoon, I was sitting around, all alone. Everything was silent. Suddenly the phone broke the silence. I realized that it was under my mom's name. The caller ID. I didn't recognize the number though... I thought it was my grandma, who is on our plan, under my mom's name. But no, it was a call from my brother at college.
Haha! Okay, you get to see at least 'a' picture of him. Maybe not the best. Actually not the best. Not my picture.
When I answered, it was my brother, Devin. He had a worried tone, almost as if he was crying. He asked if mom was home and I said no. I suddenly became a little worried. He said he wasn't feeling well and I thought, "Oh he must be homesick, the worst it could be would be that his shoulder hurts from surgery." After I hung up, I answered the phone again because it was already ringing when I was still on the phone with Devin. It was a girl asking for Devin. She said that she found his wallet and looked up his number on the college website or something like that. I got her number and my voice started to sound just like Devin's was, but this time, a sense of relief and thankfulness. Everything started to make sense. I called Devin back and gave him her number. He got his wallet back from the one girl working at a coffee shop. Devin went to get groceries and he biked home. That's when his wallet fell out of his pocket. Devin texted my reassuring me that he got his wallet back and told me exactly what happened.
My eyes become watery when I started thinking about what this means. It wasn't the girl who found the wallet and gave it back to Devin. It wasn't my conscience calming my body. It was God. God cared for my family so much that he made sure that Devin's wallet wasn't stolen. He calmed my spirit and gave me the reassuring message. Sometimes in this society we think everything goes wrong. Things like robbery, war, theft. But there are still people out there that care about other people. This story was really eye-opening to me. As little {or maybe big} as this sounds, I found peace knowing that God was there through it all. He was watching over us, and protecting us from any "danger." God is truly indescribable, everybody. Never forget that God is watching out for you and will guard you even in the darkest times.
Note: The girl that found Devin's wallet had lost her purse earlier that year and someone found it for her. She wanted to repay the kindness.
God Bless your day!
Bible verse of the Week #23
I love that verse! We are all beautiful (and handsome) in God's sight. God made us special and we shouldn't put ourself down by what we look like. We all have our flaws, okay? So if we all have flaws, why don't we all get along? Why do we still worry about what we look like? Those are all very good questions that I can't answer fully. The truth is though, that no matter how hard we try, we only get to heaven one way, by believing. Your looks won't matter when you get to heaven. (shucks, I know.) So stop worrying about what you look like and live your life!
That is my favorite song at this time and I just love the lyrics!! I hope you like it too!
