Weather

Ahh! Hasn't the weather just been kind of relaxing lately (like in the last week or so)? I just love how sunny it is and we add a little rain to replenish our plants and crops. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy, and I've had a little bit of writer's block. But, back to the weather, I just LOVE weather! I want to be a meteorologist when I grow up, so I love weather! :-) By the way, a meteorologist is a person who studies weather. Haha! So here are some photos I've been taking of the weather. It was hailing and was sunny within less than 24 hours! Wow, Minnesota really has wild weather!

I have 4 more days left of school... then it's summer!!!! This photo makes me want summer more!

Bible Verse of the Week #5

 

 Yes, that verse is just amazing! I love it! Are you holding back because you are young? You don't have to be old to set an example and make a difference. You can do that right now! Go out and spread the Word. Plant a "seed" in someone's life. And finally, don't EVER think you are stupid or can't do something.

Busy, busy, busy/ to me rain means

I'm sorry I haven't had a lot of time to post lately. I have been great, up to yesterday. I got sick right at the end of the day with allergies... I think. I feel horrible! My nose hurts really badly from blowing it so often! Not only that, but I had a school lock-in last night. It was really fun, even though I was sick. I'm sorry that I didn't take any pictures; I can't seem to find my camera. I loose it all the time, but I usually find it. So I hope I find it soon!

Anyway, Minnesota has been pretty rainy lately. I can't decide if I like it or not. I love it when it rains because it just feels and looks cool! And sometimes it helps me from not biking to piano (which is like 2.5 miles away!).

 To me, rain can be relaxing. A chance to catch up on cleaning... indoors.

 To me, rain means that God is showing blessings on us.

 To me, rain means regrowth and to renew.

What does rain mean to you?

Bible Verse #4: James 1:19-20

Hi everybody! Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've been really busy! This week's Bible verse if from James 1:19-20
               "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quite to listen, slow to speak
        and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."

To me, this Bible verse is saying that we need to listen to what other people have to say first, slow to say our feelings, and slow to become angry. I think if we keep those "rules" in mind, we will have better communication skills as well! Everyone loves a person that listens, speaks kindly, and doesn't get mad easily! I was in a play three years about this one bible verse! It was really good! It was called Dr. Newhart's Neck-up check-up. Here is a YouTube video:

I challenge you for the rest of the week to listen first, speak kindly second, and DON'T become angry! God Bless!

National Day of Prayer

If you didn't know, last Thursday was also National Day of Prayer. I say "also" because a lot of people celebrate/know of Cinco De Mayo. At my school, we spend the first hour of school in devotion and prayer. Here are some pictures from Thursday.

 This was the fortress. God is our fortress and comforter.

 This year's team was "A Mighty Fortress." We sang "A Mighty Fortress is our God"

 After the devotion, every person prayed. Above is things for us to pray about. There was also a picture sheet of all the leaders in the country. So we would pray that they make wise decisions.

 We were just hanging out before the "service" started.

 Mrs. Vallin led us in a fantastic Bible study.

Bible verse of the week #3

I based this week's Bible verse off of my brother's memory work! :-) The Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21

²¹ God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

"Christ becoming sin for us I believe refers to his incarnation, coming in the flesh. In the New Testament the word "flesh" is "sarx" in the Greek and is the same word the NIV translates as "sinful nature"  Look at this video.

That video really sums up what the Bible verse is saying. WE are forgiven because God sent his son Jesus, who had never sinned, to die upon the cross to save us, who sin every day. Isn't that just wonderful?
